Auruduci is the Sicilian way of saying agro-dulce or sweet and sour. This is not the kind of sweet and sour you will find in a Chinese restaurant. It is a wonderful recipe that really highlights the flavor of the tuna. A little bit of sugar, red wine vinegar and white wine make a simple but very interesting sauce. The tuna cooks quickly to medium doneness
Thaw completely. Heat 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil in skillet over medium heat. Sautee onions until golden brown. Remove onions from heat. Add 2 more Tablespoons of olive oil to same pan. Increase heat to high. Season tuna with salt and pepper. Place flour in shallow dish. Coat tuna with flour. Sear tuna steaks for 2 mins on each side; then remove from pan. Add sauce bag and onions back to pan. Simmer for 2 mins. Add tuna back to pan; cook for 2 more mins.
